Perhaps everything terrifying is
deep down
a helpless thing that needs our help

  1. Hmmm, that which seems so frightening, may not be so bad, if we took the time to get to know it a little better.
It is part of us after all.
We can often be our own enemy, and sabotage ourselves with doubt, and all associated negative emotions that terrify and keep us down.
Perhaps facing the terror within is all that's needed to allow us to soar?

    1. I know! Isn't it bizarre how we take that stuff on??? I keep remembering and then forgetting it over and over again, that compassion for yourself is the way to go. The experience that I had (here http://discombobula.blogspot.com/2012/12/max-and-little-susie.html) was such an occasion where afterwards I was blown away by how certain parts of me will try and get my attention in the limited ways they know how ... and they seem "evil" but really they're more like socially-inept children than anything with minimal experience and expertise.

It really is a mind-blower. Being kinder to ourselves is such a better way, huh :)

Oh, and you know about that forever-procrastinated coffee? I really do want to catch up, but I'm just feeling so ragged at the moment - fatigue and some bad days. Then I had a couple of good days last week where in great excitement I walked to Sherbrooke Falls and back, followed by cleaning the bathroom the day after ... and then crashed energy-wise. Sheesh. And I feel like a bit of a mess emotionally and stuff. So catching up when I'm feeling a little more balanced and not quite so physically fragile and fruitcakey will be lovely. I'm just not sure when that will be :)
